BERKSHIRES

KILLINGTON is the union of spalted maple wood veneer within glass, polycarbonate, or acrylic. The veneer is from trees found deep in the northern woods and features a balanced splat lining, tight knots, fine cracks, and impact from insects.  While absent of the taps from sugar harvesting as found in Stowe, Killington also imparts a natural beauty and unmatched link to the great outdoors.

FINISH GAUGE:

Finish thickness of Killington is dependent on the surface selected, interlayers, and application and can range from 1/4” to 2”. Refer to Surfaces for available gauges. Gauge of wood veneer is 1/40” (0.0635 mm).

SIZE:

Maximum size is 4'-0" x 8'-0" with wood veneer spliced. Custom sizes are also available.

Glass, Polycarbonate, or Acrylic

SURFACE OPTIONS:

Surfaces are available both in a variety finishes, from clear to a range of transparencies, and with design options available.

CONTENT:

Unfinished and unsanded splated maple with backing.

CHARACTERISTICS

A range of natural characteristics are to be expected and accepted with the used of organic materials. Natural characteristics, including but not limited to marks, holes, knots, cracks, inclusions, tracks, and variations in color(s) and finish(es), are to be deemed as part of their life cycle, aesthetics, and environment(s).

COLOR:

PATTERN:

Random plank matched on both faces.

PATTERN DIRECTION:

Random with natural features on both faces.

BACK ILLUMINATION:

Killington can be back illuminated.

GLASS

Glass is a fascinating, beautiful and versatile surface material, with the ability to reflect, refract and diffuse light unlike any other medium.  No other surface has as much known about it among Architects, Interior Designers, and Graphic Specialists, while remaining the subject of aesthetic possibilities and new applications from safety, fire resistant, to security.  Need clarity with regard to a project?  Let’s open with glass.

POLYCARBONATE

Dimensions: Up to 96" x 144"

Polycarbonate is an amazing surface material that continues to gain favor with the design community.  Few surfaces can match the impact resistant, weight reduction, improved insulation, and ability to diffuse light than Polycarbonate, while offering the aesthetic and enhanced application to architectural design, interior décor, and environmental graphics. ACRYLIC

Available Gauges:  1/16", 1/8”, 3/16”, 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”
Dimensions: Up to 96" x 144"

Acrylic is one of the most widely used surface materials due to exceptional clarity, versatility, and weathering.  With many similarities to glass in clarity, brilliance, and transparency, Acrylic’s reduced weight and greater impact resistance, continues to open new opportunities in architectural décor, interior aesthetics, and graphic applications.
